The Greater Good is a craft beer bar at the corner of Geary and Dufferin Avenue with food provided by North of Brooklyn Pizzeria. Beer and pizza? How could you go wrong?
The Greater Good comes from the owners of Get Well, a boisterous craft beer bar/video arcade on Dundas West. Everything that worked for Get Well has been incorporated here, including the arcade games located upstairs. Play 80’s classics like Tapper, Outrun, and Tempest for free or opt for skeeball and pinball for a buck a play.
There’s a real sense of community among businesses on Geary Avenue and at The Greater Good this is apparent through their brewery collaborations. They offer 18 rotating beers from Ontario and focus on neighbourhood breweries including Blood Brothers and Indie Ale House just down the street.
Once you’ve gotten your beer it’s time to think about your pizza selection. Order by the slice or go for a full pie to share (or not, we don’t judge). Let us suggest the Killer Bee – a sweet take on pizza topped with calabrese sausage, jalapenos, pickled red onions, oregano, and honey. Once you try it you won’t want pizza any other way.
In the summer the cheery patio comes to life for open-air seating and train watching – yes that’s a thing.
