Pescatarian-Italian dishes to savour on Dundas West
Ufficio opened in 2016 as a collaboration between chefs Jeff Lapointe of Splendido and Craig Harding of Campagnolo. The intimate, and well-decorated space features an open kitchen, white marble, and sumptuous seating.
The menu focuses on fresh, seasonal dishes and is Pescatarian, with the exception of the 18oz grass fed Prime Ontario ribeye.
Harkening to the long, varied coastline of Italy, you’ll find dishes such as octopus bolognese, lobster tortellini, and branzino in a smoked dash butter sauce.
Seasonal vegetables play a big role on the menu with fried zucchini flowers in summer and mushrooms, root veggies, and pumpkin in the fall.
The burrata cheese is a must-eat, always served with a seasonal accompaniment such as pecan granola, spiced apple chutney, mâche, frisée.
The wine list is primarily Italian with global varietals mixed in, for a well-rounded selection.
1/2 Priced Wine is available on Mondays + Tuesdays.
$1 Oysters on Tuesday + Wednesdays.
So we suppose Tuesday is the night to go for a dozen oysters and grab a bottle of high-acid white. If you’re not set on Italian, we always love a Sancerre.
Ufficio is located at 1214 Dundas St. West
